The Versatile Bearded Collie
Beardies are exceptional dogs! Although content to be your affectionate friend and stealing your heart, they have a lot of energy and love being with other Beardies and owners. Their energy, enthusiasm and desire to please make them a wonderful companion in a variety of dog sports, and you will enjoy the special bond that develops through the time you spend working with your dog.
Beardies are good at activities such as Herding, Agility, Obedience, Rally, Conformation Barn Hunt, and Tricks — all fun and competitive, and Beardies love the attention and activity. Their loving natures make them wonderful Therapy Dogs, also.
The RMBCC and BCCA have programs to encourage and reward owners that participate in a variety of sports. The club’s Versatility Award recognizes Beardies who have earned titles in three out of six areas: Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Herding, Tracking, Barh Hunt, Tricks, and Agility.
